Upwards of 150 Campbell County High School students walked out of class to protest the district hair code. The walkout came on the heels of the suspension of 75 senior boys, all code violators discovered in a special hair inspection. About 30 of the 75 originally suspended had gotten their locks trimmed and were back in class, but a number of longhairs remained in the school parking lot to demonstrate against what they feel is an unfair policy. The boys on suspension were asked to leave the school grounds
