Mary Orr Meyer, 83, of Cheyenne, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service followed by a reception and celebration of life begins at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21; location to be provided at a later date on the Schrader obituary online, which may be view at schradercares.com/obituaries .

Mary was born Nov. 30, 1941, to Phil "P.J." and Marianne Orr in Sheridan, where she grew up and graduated from Sheridan High School. Mary was Miss Wyoming 1961, and was named Miss Congeniality in the Miss America Program.

She attended the University of Wyoming and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in Speech, Theater, and Communications. While in college she met her future husband, Joseph "Joe" Meyer, a Casper native. They were married on Sept. 3, 1966, in
