LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A dangerous intersection east of Lincoln has a major safety makeover.
Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman announced the reopening of Holdrege Street at the intersection of N. 148th Street on Wednesday at 12 p.m.
Holdrege Street has been closed at North 148th Street since Sept. 2 in preparation for several improvements: The construction of turn lanes from North 148th Street onto Holdrege Street, installation of a box culvert extension and rejuvenating asphalt overlays across the intersection.
According to the Lancaster County Engineer, the primary goal of the project was to improve the transportation system’s reliability and maintain the mobility of travelers.
