LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Clark County zoning officials will decide the fate of a proposed parking garage next to Harry Reid International Airport’s fuel storage facility Wednesday.
The parking garage, planned to be located across from the airport’s cellphone lot at 625 Kitty Hawk Way, would bring more than 2,200 parking spaces to the airport.
Clark County Department of Aviation officials listed multiple concerns in a staff report. In their report, they say the “parking garage will provide an elevated, direct line of sight to large aviation jet fuel tanks and other secure operational areas of the airport.”
They are not alone in their worries. Elias George, an attorney representing a concerned pilot, plans to speak before county officials Wednesday to start a discussion before a vote.
