SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Community leaders and child care advocates met with Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand, a Democrat running for governor, to discuss strengthening families, supporting children and building more accessible systems of care in Iowa.

The Iowa Child Care Coalition organized the meeting to talk with Sand about the need for more accessible and affordable quality child care in the state. The group said the meeting was a chance to hear directly from those on the front lines of child care and family support.

Sand said he has spoken with people across the state about the difficulties in child care.
