Paul McCartney is delving into what it was like after The Beatles broke up and the challenges that followed.
The 83-year-old singer revealed quite a bit in his new memoir, titled Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run published on November 4.
The Guardian shared an excerpt from the book in which Paul talks about hearing a rumor that he’d died and how that description was surprisingly accurate, more so “than one might have thought at the time.”
“In so many ways, I was dead,” he wrote. “A 27-year-old about-to-become-ex-Beatle, drowning in a sea of legal and personal rows that were sapping my energy, in need of a complete life makeover.
