Perrysburg City Councilman Mark A. Weber leads his opponent, political newcomer Aaron Harder, in the race for Perrysburg mayor.
Mr. Weber has about 75 percent of the vote with nine of the city’s 20 precincts reporting. The race pits a longtime Perrysburg resident and city councilman against one of the city’s newer residents.
Of the four candidates for city council, Justin Edgell has 26 percent of the vote, Erin Kelly O’Rear has 26 percent, Kevin Fuller has 25 percent, and Brad Geiner has 23 percent.
A union electrical worker, Mr. Weber has lived in Perrysburg for 64 years. He was appointed to council in 2019 and 2021 to fill vacant seats and elected in his own right in 2021. He currently chairs the Finance and Economic Development Committee.
