RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Democrat Jay Jones has been declared winner of the Virginia attorney general race, declared by NBC.

Jones, 36, is a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

He has previously served as the assistant attorney general in the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.

The inauguration will be Saturday, Jan. 17.
