BUFFALO -- Clayton Keller scored 47 seconds into overtime to lift the Utah Mammoth to a 2-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center on Tuesday.

The Utah captain carried the puck to the front of the net and slid it into the net five-hole. Mammoth goalie Karel Vejmelka got the secondary assist, starting the play after he gloved an Alex Tuch shot from point-blank range.

Nick Schmaltz scored, and Vejmelka made 17 saves for the Mammoth (9-4-0), who had lost their previous two games.

Noah Ostlund scored his first NHL goal for the Sabres (5-4-4), who extended their point streak to seven (3-0-4) in their fifth straight overtime game. Alex Lyon made 33 saves.
