BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — St. Vincent de Paul launches local initiative to support families affected by SNAP uncertainty.
St. Vincent de Paul is asking the community to donate nonperishable food items during the "Neighbors Helping Neighbors Drive-Thru Donation Drive."
“With so many families facing uncertainty around SNAP benefits and fewer resources available during the government shutdown, this drive comes at a crucial time. Together, we can make sure that no one in our community goes without food,” said Sunnie Johnson-Lain, President/CEO of St. Vincent de Paul of Baton Rouge. “Every can, every donation, and every act of generosity truly makes a difference.
