BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - The owner of a Branson thrift shop organized a community food drive to help families affected by the gap in SNAP funding.
Riley’s Treasures Downtown gathered donated food from community volunteers and assembled dozens of meal kits for families in need. The kits were distributed Tuesday evening.
Organizers said the response from both those seeking help and volunteers exceeded expectations.
The team at Riley’s Treasures plans to organize weekly community assistance efforts throughout November.
