ZEELAND, MI — Voters on Tuesday, Nov. 4, approved a $186 million bond proposal for Zeeland Public Schools.

The bond passed with 52.52% of the vote, or 3,465 votes in favor, to 3,132 votes (47.48%) opposed, according to the unofficial vote totals from the Ottawa County Clerk’s Office.

Results are considered unofficial until certified by the county Board of Canvassers.

The 2025 bond proposal funds district-wide building and safety upgrades to 15 buildings through 2035, including updates to all elementary playgrounds and a reconfiguration of drop off/pickup areas to reduce traffic congestion at three schools.

The bond would also fund a new indoor Zeeland Activity Center near both high schools, offering an athletic facility and area for district/community programming.
