Two well-known nonprofits in North Texas are merging in an effort to more effectively combat rising homelessness and food insecurity in Collin County.
The Samaritan Inn announced it has acquired Community Lifeline Center’s food pantry and emergency assistance services. The merger marks a major expansion of services for The Samaritan Inn, which is already Collin County’s largest provider of homelessness support.
“We’re so excited,” said Jill Scigliano, CEO of The Samaritan Inn. “We’re taking over the food pantry and the emergency utility assistance from Community Lifeline Center. Samaritan Inn is expanding services to food access for our community during a really critical time.”
