A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a former member of the West Ulverstone Football Club after he failed to appear in court.

Andrew John Hilfenhaus was due to be sentenced by Magistrate Katie Edwards in the Burnie Magistrates Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to a raft of driving charges.

Those charges included driving while disqualified, driving with drugs in his system, using an unregistered vehicle, breach of bail and one count of driving a motor vehicle with a passenger in or on part of a vehicle not designed primarily for the carriage of passengers.
