CHELSEA, MI — Voters in Chelsea elected a new mayor and filled three seats on Chelsea City Council at the polls Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Voters in the city elected Kate Henson, who currently serves on the city council, in the race for mayor . Henson won a four-year term, receiving 1391 votes.
She defeated Julianne Chard, a retired architect and civil engineer, who received 777 votes.
Incumbent Mayor Jane Pacheco did not run for reelection.
Chelsea voters also elected three city council candidates to serve for the next four years.
The winners are Sam Angus with 1590 votes, incumbent city councilmember Tony Iannelli with 1439 votes, and Felix Stump with 1268 votes.
They defeated William O’Reilly, who received 1096 votes.
