HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities have shut down an unlicensed medical boarding home accused of operating illegally in northeast Harris County. The home, located on Beckett Ridge and known as Bella’s Village Cottage Care, was closed this afternoon with assistance from Harris County Precinct 4 Constables.
The investigation began after investigators said a man called 911 to report a medical emergency involving an elderly patient who later died from natural causes inside the home. Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Captain Buddy Gheen said the man claiming to be a caretaker was actually a wanted felon and accused of failing to identify.
“It was discovered that the caretaker at the residence gave law enforcement obvious signs of false information,” Captain Gheen said.
