ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Confusion is mounting for families who rely on food assistance as conflicting messages from the White House leave millions uncertain about when their SNAP benefits will arrive.
Days after a federal court ordered the U.S. Department of Agriculture to issue at least partial SNAP payments, it remains unclear when those benefits will be distributed.
Monday, the White House said it would distribute partial benefits for the month of November.
Tuesday morning, President Trump said in a post on Truth Social that SNAP benefits would not be sent out until the government shutdown ends. In the post, the president said SNAP would “be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up government.”
