POUGHKEEPSIE – Republican-Conservative Dutchess County Court Judge Edward McLaughlin lost his seat on the bench to Kara Gerry, who ran on the Democratic and Working Families lines.
She polled 55.97 percent of the vote for a total of 40,964 votes while McLaughlin garnered 32,209 votes for 44.01 percent of the tally.
There were 10 write-in ballot.
Dutchess County Comptroller Dan Aymar-Blair, who ran on the Democrat and Working Families lines defeated Republican-Conservative Will Truitt, the current chairman of the county legislature.
Aymar-Blair polled 40,358 votes, or 55.00 percent of the tally . Truitt polled 44.97 percent of the vote, or 32,997 votes.
There were 17 write-in ballots fore comptroller.
