WICHITA, Kan. (Go Shockers) -- Kenyon Giles scored 15 of his game-high 20 points in the second half to lead Wichita State in a 75-58 win over UNC Asheville Tuesday night in Charles Koch Arena. Wichita State (1-0) has now won seven straight season openers and 31 of its last 33. Wichita State is 101-18 all-time in home openers. Giles paced the Shockers with 20 points, including four steals and two assists, while forward Karon Boyd recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Will Berg added 8 points, 8 boards and 3 blocks, and Dre Kindell provided a spark off the bench with 11 points and 5 assists in his Division I debut.
