CROSBY — Crosby-Ironton now joins the roughly 70% of school districts in Minnesota with an operating levy in place.
After two failed measures in 2023 and 2024, the majority of voters supported an operating levy on Tuesday, Nov. 4, allowing the school district to levy $1.5 million a year over the next 10 years.
Sixty-four percent of voters supported the measure, with 2,241 yes votes and 1,262 no votes, according to unofficial results Tuesday night.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Crosby-Ironton community for supporting our schools and investing in our students,” Superintendent Rick Aulie said in a news release Tuesday night. “This operating levy gives us the stability we need to continue providing the high-quality education and school experiences our families expect and deserve.
