Explosive devices and a drone are among a number of shocking items seized by officers in a major counter-terrorism probe.

Seven people, including four men and three women, have been charged with drug, weapons and explosives offences as part of a Queensland Police Service Counter-Terrorism Investigation Group operation.

Operation Whiskey Blackheart, launched in October last year, had allegedly uncovered 20 kilograms of commercial explosives, illegal firearms, and multiple improvised explosive devices (IED’s), including a drone, police have confirmed.

The seven people arrested in the probe were before the courts.

Five of the alleged offenders faced charges of unlawfully trafficking explosive weapons.
