FAULKTON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -Friday is semi-final night in the HS Football playoffs in South Dakota and there are plenty of familiar teams from recent success who still have championship dreams..

Like the Trojans of Faulkton who lost in the title game last year to Sully Buttes but got revenge in the quarterfinals last Thursday.

There’s no doubt that coming so close last year has really motivated the seniors on this year’s team.

Cade Leonhardt, Faulkton Senior says, “Faulkton has never won the state championship. We’ve seen runner-up a lot of times at the Dome, but we’ve never brought home the title. And I believe to be the first team to do that would be an extraordinary deal for the community and the surrounding area.”
