Amit Sehra, a vegetable vendor from Rajasthan’s Kotputli town, saw his fortunes change dramatically after winning the top prize of Rs 11 crore in the Punjab State Lottery’s Diwali Bumper 2025 draw.
The 32-year-old, who runs a small cart selling vegetables, bought two tickets for Rs 1,000 – money he had borrowed from a friend – while visiting Moga in Punjab . One ticket was for his wife, which fetched only Rs 1,000, but the other turned out to be worth crores of rupees. The lucky ticket, purchased in Bathinda for just Rs 500, made him an instant millionaire.
