Syracuse, N.Y. — As Felisha Legette-Jack walked into Syracuse’s locker room, her team greeted her with confetti.
The original plan was to celebrate by pouring water on the head coach, but Legette-Jack had just gotten her hair done. The Orange players decided they couldn’t ruin it, despite the special occasion.
So Sophie Burrows called an audible to celebrate with confetti. The junior led a postgame speech in the locker room and fired off the confetti before she and her teammates mobbed their head coach.
It was in honor of Legette-Jack securing her 400th career win as a head coach after Syracuse opened its season with a 74-50 win over Stony Brook on Tuesday.
“I want to win, but more importantly, I want to be around in the locker room with these young people and watch their dreams come
