The last witnesses have given evidence in the Northern Territory Supreme Court murder trial of a man who allegedly stabbed his wife in the back in front of his daughter and grandchild two years ago.

Steven John, 48, pleaded not guilty to murder, after he fatally stabbed his 45-year-old wife — referred to as Ms Skeen for cultural reasons — at a home in Jilkminggan, a remote community more than an hour's drive south-east of Katherine, in July 2023.
