A man who stole £25k from a secure vault from where he worked fled to Manchester after he was rumbled by his employer.
Sam Job had plans to flee the country after spending a weekend in Manchester after pocketing the stolen cash . Working as an operations manager for his employer in the West Midlands, the 26-year-old was in charge of staff and oversaw cash being sorted and prepared for delivery in a secure vault.
West Midlands Police said in August last year, Job moved a bag containing £25k out of the secure vault in stages as not to raise suspicions. He eventually put the stolen cash into his laptop bag before leaving the building.
The missing cash was flagged immediately as missing, which Job was told about the the following day.
