The municipal elections are finally over, and the results are in.

Michael Garcia was picked as the next mayor of Santa Fe after several rounds of ranked choice voting, although he had a substantial lead in the first round of the eight-way race. Oscar Rodriguez came in second, with Ron Trujillo and Justin Greene a distant third and fourth, respectively.

Pat Fegahli was elected as the new city councilor for District 1 and Liz Barrett in District 2. Both wins became official on the second round of ranked choice voting, but like Garcia both had substantial leads in the first round; in other words, all the Santa Fe city election results would have been the same with or without ranked choice voting.
