City Market is partnering with Feeding Champlain Valley to host a turkey drive to support the local food shelf.

Feeding Champlain Valley expects to receive more than 40,000 visits to its food shelves this holiday season, according to a community announcement.

On Nov. 8, shoppers can purchase a turkey at either City Market location for $25 to support neighbors in need. The turkeys will help feed those facing food insecurity.

Feeding Champlain Valley serves 12,000 people annually

Feeding Champlain Valley , a program of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity, says it serves 12,000 people annually through food access programs. The organization has been working to address hunger for 50 years.
