PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - Democrat Michael Cashman claims a win over Republican Brent Davison.

North Country voters chose the democrat to fill the 115th state assembly seat.

The results show Cashman won with 51.5% of the vote while Brent Davison came in at just over 47%.

It was a tight race all night with candidates watching the polls closely as votes were tallied.
