Union Unite has suspended strikes at defence and aerospace manufacturer Leonardo UK following a new pay offer from the company.
Previously, Unite had announced that over 3,000 workers at Leonardo UK's facilities in Scotland and England were set to walk out in a series of strikes beginning on Wednesday.
The company, which is involved in various defence projects and produces advanced radars for military aircraft at its Edinburgh site, managed to prevent the strikes with last-minute talks.
Union officials have stated that the strikes scheduled for this week will be suspended while the new offer is presented to members in a vote.
However, Unite has warned that if the latest offer is rejected, strike action will still proceed later in the month.
