WHITESTOWN, Ind — Boone County authorities say there is "no active threat" after a reported shooting in a Whitestown neighborhood Wednesday morning.

The shooting was reported around 7 a.m. Nov. 5 on Maize Lane , east of Main Street Park and about two miles north of downtown Whitestown.

Whitestown police confirmed to 13News that they are investigating a shooting, but said they did not have any additional information to share at this time "as this is both an active scene and an active investigation."

"Heavy police and fire presence intersection of Maize Ln. and Red Barn Dr. in Whitestown. No active threat at this time," the Boone County Sheriff's Office said in an alert. "Please avoid the area due to police and fire activity."
