One of the best attributes of Bison true freshman offensive lineman Ryan Babatz is that he is a quick learner.

The Minnesota native is now going to see more playing time for the Bison, but just five years ago, he had never strapped on the pads.

At 6-foot-5 and 308 pounds, Ryan Babatz is a mountain of a man — and he's only 18-years old.

"I've constantly been growing through middle school, going up to the 6-foot-plus range. It was never really a growth spurt. I just put the weight on as the years went by," Babatz said.

Ryan is doing only what few Bison greats have done before, playing on the offense line as a true freshman. Not long ago, he was playing a different kind of football.
