STRONGSVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - The 74-year-old father who shot himself after fatally shooting his daughter, has died from his injuries, according to Strongsville police.
Strongsville Police Chief Thomas O’Deens said Gene Tomcho, 74, of North Ridgeville, shot his daughter, Gina Guyer, 49, at her Strongsville home on Oct. 31.
According to police, Guyer was shot just after 8 p.m. in the 22400 block of Rock Creek Circle.
Chief O’Deens said when officers arrived at the home, Guyer had already been shot and Tomcho was holding a handgun.
Officers said they ordered Tomcho to put down the gun, but he shot himself.
EMS transported both Guyer and Tomcho to MetroHealth Medical Center.
Guyer died from her injuries several hours later.
Tomcho died on Nov. 4.
