BALLARI: Two medical students from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, who had come to visit the historic site of Hampi in Hosapete taluk of Vijayanagara district, got stranded on Matanga Hill when they had gone on a trek. However, they were later rescued by the police.
The students, who were on a trek, lost their way while ascending and descending the hill, which is one of the most inaccessible areas in Hampi. The students, who were clueless about which direction to go, panicked and called 112 for help.
