MONROE, La. (KNOE) - After 44 years of service, ARCO Executive Director Roma Kidd is preparing to retire.
Kidd began her journey with ARCO in 1981 as a residential services manager. Just months later, she stepped into the role of executive director and has been in it ever since.
During her tenure, ARCO grew from a small Northeast Louisiana service organization into a statewide model for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
For Kidd, the work has always been about dignity and connection.
From expanding early-intervention services to supporting independent living and employment opportunities, Kidd says her greatest joy has been seeing individuals thrive.
Kidd will officially retire in December. She says she leaves feeling grateful for every opportunity and every famil
