When you see the name Lilly Nelson, you think of Southwestern soccer. Or maybe even softball. But football? That’s not a sport you associate the multi-sport star with. At least, not until this past Thursday night.

The new kicker for the Warriors was known for her powerful kicks on the soccer field, with her friends and coaches joking about it for years. When the football coaches asked her to tryout, she figured, why not?
