Five of the state’s Division I teams were in action on the opening night of college basketball.

The University of Rhode Island men and women, the Bryant men and women and the Providence men all took the floor on Nov. 3 to tip off the 2025-26 campaign. The Friars women were set to go Tuesday night while the Brown men and women had more time to wait until their Friday debuts.
