EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Evansville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after continuing to call 911 for non-emergency situations.
According to an affidavit, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Green River Road for a medical emergency response.
Dispatch told officers that a man, later identified as Luther Hanaway, was calling and requesting an ambulance because he possibly had too much caffeine.
Hanaway told police he had a “spiritual awakening” and needs help navigating.
When police arrived on scene, they saw that AMR was on scene at Thorntons on South Green River Road and later confirmed that Hanaway was the caller.
Just minutes before Hanaway had called 911 for assistance, an AMR employee told police she had just walked by him when she was walking into
