Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri- known also as Bageshwar Baba- and the renowned poet Kumar Vishwas visited the ‘Laghu Prayag’ Gangnani, located on the bank of Yamuna on Wednesday. They offered puja to the goddess Yamuna according to the Vedic rituals.
The chief development officer, Jai Bharat Singh, who was present along with a large number of devotees, said, “Gangnani is a spiritual and cultural symbol of Dev Bhoomi.”
After offering prayers, Shastri said, “Mother Yamuna and Mother Ganga are not just rivers but the lifeblood of Indian culture. So, it is the duty of one and all to keep them clean.”
