A 17-year-old girl is the latest person to die following a devastating wrong-way crash on a Michigan highway over the weekend, officials said.

On Monday, Nov. 3, a 17-year-old girl who attended Portage Community High School died of her injuries after the car she was riding in was hit by a vehicle going the wrong way, NBC affiliate WOOD , FOX affiliate WXMI and CBS affiliate WWMT reported. She was later identified as Alayiah Lazzara, her mom, Erika Brown, confirmed to WOOD.
