A 34-year-old Detroit man is accused of following a 5-year-old girl into the bathroom of a McDonald's and having "inappropriate sexual contact" with her, according to Wayne County prosecutors.

Joshua Joel-Eli Brown is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony that includes a possibly penalty of up to 15 years in prison.

“The Detroit Police department did an excellent job investigation (sic) and apprehending the defendant. This case illustrates why we must remain vigilant when it comes to our children,” said Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy in a Wednesday, Nov. 5 news release.
