LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville’s community is coming together to help one another after a fatal plane crash at the international airport.
At least nine people are dead, and 16 people have been reported missing.
City officials have kept a shelter-in-place order for those living within a quarter mile of the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) canceled class Wednesday due to the shelter-in-place, which was more widespread Tuesday night.
Wednesday morning, the Muhammad Ali Center said it’s offering JCPS students, and their parents and guardians, free admission due to the school closures.
