CENTRAL, Texas — Election day has come and gone, with voters across Central Texas will deciding on more than $1.5 billion in school bonds, tax increases and local government positions.
Residents in Waco, Temple, Killen and the surrounding area had the opportunity to vote for or against propositions ranging from new athletic stadiums and security upgrades to emergency services funding and infrastructure projects. Their ballots also had contested races for city councils, school boards and mayoral seats, along with 17 statewide constitutional amendments.
