Mason Social, a sports bar, is scheduled to open on Dec. 1 at 7289 Mentor Ave. in Mentor.

Mason Social will take the place of Melt Bar and Grill, which closed in 2024, and will feature indoor seating for 115 people, plus an additional 30 outdoor patio seats. It will also have 20 televisions for guests to watch while they eat, drink and socialize.

Cleveland Restaurant Group consultants and Cleveland restaurateurs Michael DuBois and Brad Friedlander are the visionaries behind Mason Social’s concept.

“I like to think of the vibe of Mason’s as sports bar meets honky-tonk,” DuBois said in a news release. “We have plenty of original items on the menu that people are going to love. We’ve wanted to do a sports bar for years, so we’re thrilled to have the chance to finally open one.”
