EAGLE ROCK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Family and friends are mourning a woman who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Eagle Rock over the weekend.

Tanya Perry was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk Sunday at Colorado Boulevard and the 2 Freeway when she was struck by a car, according to police.

A vigil was held there for her Tuesday night.

Perry's mother says she was devoted to her three children and dedicated to her job as a Metro bus operator.

"She was loved by everybody," said Mary Smith. "All these people coming up to me, all the Metro workers, and they're just telling me 'your daughter was a beautiful soul'."
