Cross-border traffic from B.C. to the U.S. continued to trend down toward the end of summer and into the fall, as tariff troubles remain in the spotlight.
Southbound traffic was down 37 per cent in October compared with the same period last year at the four border crossings near Metro Vancouver, according to the B.C. Transportation Ministry and Washington state’s Department of Transportation. A total of 121,064 vehicles with B.C. licence plates crossed into Washington state in October, compared with 192,346 in October last year.
