DENVER (KDVR) — The suspect in the June attack on Israeli hostage supporters in Boulder has pleaded not guilty to state charges related to the attack.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national who was living with his family in El Paso County illegally after overstaying a visa, appeared in Boulder County court on Wednesday, where he faces more than 100 charges related to the attack.

Soliman allegedly threw Molotov cocktails at a group from Run for Their Lives who were demonstrating for the release of Israeli hostages who were being held by Hamas in Gaza. Federal officials allege he shouted “free Palestine” as he threw one cocktail at the group.

Among the charges are first-degree murder after one of the victims, 82-year-old Karen Diamond, died nearly a month after the attack.
