Still, even after Donald Trump late Tuesday threatened California’s successful redistricting measure with legal action , Newsom Wednesday declared he’d just have to beat the former Apprentice host and Republicans once more time.

“We haven’t reviewed the lawsuit, but if it’s from the California Republican Party and Harmeet Dhillon’s law firm, it’s going to fail,” a spokesperson for the Governor’s office told Deadline this morning soon after the suit from the state GOP and others was filed in federal court.
