Lidl has issued an urgent 'do not eat' warning due to the "possible presence of glass" in one of its popular snacks.

The supermarket revealed it is recalling Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews due the item being found to potentially contain glass.

Issuing a product recall notice today (November 5), the supermarket said: "Lidl GB is recalling the above-mentioned product due to potential presence of glass foreign bodies which may present a choking hazard."

It added: "If you have bought the above product we advise you not to eat it."

Instead shoppers are being advised to return any purchased Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews to their nearest Lidl store. View 2 Images
