RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (KABC) -- The man accused of killing San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Andrew Nunez during a domestic violence call in Rancho Cucamonga pleaded not guilty Wednesday to several charges during his first court appearance.
Eyewitness News was in the courtroom early Wednesday morning and captured 47-year-old Angelo Jose Saldivar, 47, wearing a back brace seated in a wheelchair. His arraignment was postponed until he could be medically cleared to face charges.
On Monday, prosecutors filed 10 charges against him.
San Bernardino County District Attorney Jason Anderson said Saldivar faces a murder charge with two special circumstances, including the killing of a peace officer in the line of duty. Saldivar entered a not guilty plea on a range of charges, including m
